Responses

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor's IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string, created from your email address (also called a hash) can be sent to the Gravatar service if you use it. The privacy policy page can be found here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment has been approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible in the context of your comment.

Media

If you are a registered user and upload images to the site, you should avoid uploading images containing EXIF GPS location data. Visitors to the website can download the images from the website and view the location data.

Contact forms & Cookies

When you leave a comment on our site, you can indicate whether your name, your e-mail address and website may be stored in a cookie. We do this for your convenience so that you do not have to re-enter this information for a new response. These cookies are valid for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will store a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.

As soon as you log in, we will save some cookies in connection with your login information and screen display options. Login cookies are valid for 2 days and screen options cookies last for 1 year. If you select “Remind me”, your login will be saved for 2 weeks. As soon as you log out of your account, login cookies will be deleted.

When you change or publish a message, an additional cookie is stored by your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data and only contains the post ID of the article you have edited. This cookie expires after one day.

How long we keep your data

When you leave a comment, that comment and its metadata will be retained indefinitely. This way, we can automatically recognize and approve follow-up comments instead of moderating them.

For users registered on our website (if applicable), we also store personal information in their user profile. All users can view, change or delete their personal information at any time (the username or email cannot be changed). Website administrators can also view and edit this information.

What rights you have over your data

Here too we look at the TW (Dutch Telecom Law) and the AGV (Dutch GDPR). We will do whatever is necessary and will regularly review these procedures for you. We also adjust these if necessary or if required by laws and regulations.

If you come to us through an advertisement, we have arranged this through the advertisement platform. We primarily use LinkedIn. 

What kind of automated decisions we make and profiling we do with user data

We keep what you found interesting and what you downloaded. Based on this, we will approach you with relevant information, which you can unsubscribe from at any time. 

Industry Disclosure Obligations

Well, here too, we obey the law. So if questions are asked by the appropriate authorities, we will critically assess them, and if the request is legitimate, we will share information. 

Mail

If you have subscribed to our newsletter or you are a member of our site (if you can log in) or you have previously downloaded something from our site, there is a chance that you will receive emails from us.

We only send emails for which you have registered or that relate to services that we have previously provided.

To send e-mails to you, we use your name and e-mail address that you provide. Our site also records the IP address you used when you signed up for the service to prevent misuse of the system.

This site may send emails through the MailPoet sending service (as one example). This service allows us to access it and track clicks on our emails. We use this information to improve the content of our newsletters.

No identifiable information is kept outside of this website except for the email address.
